Jones also said the county—s landfill gas is being captured and sold: "They—re selling them. It has a direct line over to the gas pipeline," he told the commission, adding that residents should be informed about the practice.
On social services, Jones said many residents in his district depend on Social Security or disability income and expressed concern about Medicaid and possible federal funding changes for pre-K and AmeriCorps programs. He called for continued support for organizations that assist people with disabilities and for affordable housing programs such as Family Promise.
