Supervisors direct staff to propose rule change for continued agenda items

Supervisor Gould said a recent agenda item about the voter list was continued and later removed from the board agenda when staff concluded an intergovernmental agreement required signatures. He told the board that items placed on the agenda should remain available to the full board and suggested the board consider a rule change so only the chair may remove an item after it is placed.
Supervisor Gould moved that staff prepare a rule-change proposal; the board approved the motion. The item directs county staff to return with recommended language for the board to consider at a future meeting.
