The Hubbard County Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment on April 1 elected Larry as chair to take office next month, confirmed Tim as secretary and approved the minutes of the March 24 meeting.
Vice Chair Veronica, acting chair for the meeting, opened the session by explaining meeting procedures and asking for nominations. Tim nominated Larry for chair; Ken seconded the nomination. After a roll-call-style voice vote—Tim, Ken, Larry and Veronica each said “aye”—Veronica stated the motion carried 4-0. Veronica said Larry would assume the chair role next month to give him time to prepare.
On the secretary nomination, Larry nominated Tim and Veronica seconded. The board voted by voice; Tim, Ken, Larry and Veronica each recorded “aye” and Veronica announced approval. The board then considered approval of the March 24 Board of Adjustment minutes. A motion to approve, moved and seconded, passed by unanimous voice vote.
The actions were procedural and were handled at the start of the meeting before the Board of Adjustment variance agenda items.
The board recessed into regular agenda business after confirming officers and accepting minutes; Veronica continued to run the meeting as acting chair for the evening.
