Administrator reads DHS commendation for county human-services reporting; board declines action on Minitec support resolution

LeBlanc read an excerpt from the DHS letter praising the county's financial reporting: "It is my pleasure to commend you and your staff for perfect performance in meeting the Department of Human Services' financial reporting requirements for calendar year 2024. All key quarterly fiscal reports for programs your county participates in were submitted to our financial operations division on or before the report deadlines in perfect order. This effort required submission of 32 major reports covering the 4 calendar quarters of 2024." He asked the board to congratulate Health and Human Services staff for the performance.
LeBlanc then noted a resolution of support for Minitec presented by Great River Regional Library had been circulated. The chair asked whether any commissioner would move the resolution; when no one did, LeBlanc recorded that the board did not take action on the item at this meeting.
Why it matters: the DHS letter recognizes county staff performance in fiscal reporting, which supports timely revenue and compliance; the Minitec resolution remains pending because no commissioner moved it for consideration.
