Morrison County proclaims April for child-abuse prevention, organ donation and military children

The board also approved a National Donate Life Awareness Month proclamation read by Denise Vogel, deputy registrar at the county license bureau. Vogel noted national transplant statistics included in the proclamation and encouraged county residents to register donors when applying for driver’s licenses.
Commissioners read and approved a proclamation recognizing April as the Month of the Military Child; Christina Vomberg, the county veteran service officer, and two assistant service officers presented. Commissioners and staff described outreach already underway in the county’s five school districts, distribution of purple shirts for participating students and planned community activities.
