Public Health Director Tess Curran told the Fall River Board of Health on April 28 that the department is now fully staffed and expects to expand outreach and community engagement.
Curran said the department recently hired a regional inspector, Catherine Cabral, who is completing training in housing and food inspections. She also said the Mass in Motion position is filled and that a public-health specialist post — part of a shared-service grant with Seekonk, Swansea and Somerset — is staffed. Curran said the added capacity will allow the department to pursue more outreach and engagement under recent grants.
Curran said the board received no citizen input for the meeting. The board agreed to hold its next regular meeting on Monday, May 19, 2025.
