Washington CountyBoard of County Commissioners approved an ordinance to convey the former Fire Center at 116 West Baltimore Street to Venture 0.10 LLC for $375,000 on a 3-0-1 vote.
County staff said the property was declared surplus on Sept. 10, 2024, listed on the open market since September and produced 15 leads, seven walk-throughs and three offers. An agreement of sale with the highest offer for $375,000 was executed March 13, 2025.
County staff told commissioners the sale proceeds would likely be placed into capital improvement project (CIP) reserves to be reallocated to other county projects. Commissioners asked how long the property had been on the market; staff said about eight months.
The board took a motion to adopt the ordinance and recorded one abstention. No further conditions or amendments were placed on the conveyance during the meeting.
The ordinance implements the board—s earlier surplus declaration and directs staff to finalize conveyance documentation according to the approved agreement of sale.
