The Finance & Audit Committee approved the minutes of its March 20, 2025 meeting and voted to place a proposed one-year renewal with CorVel Enterprises for workers' compensation claims administration on the tollway board agenda.
Committee Chair Perinard moved approval of the minutes as presented; the committee approved the motion by voice vote. Later, the chief financial officer, Dean Peters, presented a proposed one-year renewal with CorVel Enterprises for claims administration services and asked the committee to vote to place the item on the board agenda. Peters described CorVel’s services as including review, approval and payment for medical services, permanency and disability planning, processing in accordance with state statute, and cost-containment services including pharmacy and medical case management discounts.
Peters said the renewal includes a 3% increase in claims-administration fees, cited bill-review fees of $30,095, and stated the renewal amount would be “not to exceed $135,000 for one year.” The committee approved placement of finance item number 1 on the full board agenda by voice vote. No roll-call tallies or individual member votes were recorded in the transcript.
These committee approvals place the CorVel renewal on the agenda for the upcoming board meeting; the full board will consider final approval and may ask for further details, including any clarifications on contract totals and expiration dates.
