Delaware County commissioners on Monday approved several operational items: switching a court-connected vendor for electronic payments, purchasing fitness-equipment for the justice center, and transferring an older distributor truck to the city.
Clerk Rich Bangler and Adult Probation staff described replacing the county’s electronic payment provider with a vendor that offers a flat $1 fee for small transactions (most probation payments are $30 or less). Commissioners approved the month-to-month vendor agreement; staff said the new vendor is local and likely more responsive on customer-service issues.
Sheriff’s Office representatives requested funding to replace gym equipment at the justice center. The county previously purchased equipment using asset-forfeiture funds; the quoted commercial-grade replacement package from Rogue Fitness totaled just under $42,000. The commissioners approved the purchase, conditional on confirming available funds in the county’s revenue-replacement/mental-health grant flows.
Highway department staff requested that a county distributor truck be transferred to the city rather than sold at auction. Commissioners approved the transfer and asked county staff to prepare a resolution and title paperwork; staff noted the city had an interlocal agreement for shared equipment usage and the truck would remain in local service rather than leaving the community.
Other operational items discussed included contractor bids for grounds maintenance and scheduling follow-up reviews.
