Delaware County commissioners on Monday approved a $486,615.10 progress payment for work on the new county mental health facility, authorized related communications services and signed a no-cost contract extension for the project.
County staff presented pay request documentation for a progress draw of $486,615.10. Commissioners approved the payment by roll call. Earlier in the meeting staff said prior payments had been processed and that additional invoice detail had been provided to support the current draw.
The board also approved change order number 1 for the mental health project to extend the contract deadline; staff said the change order carries no additional cost and only updates the schedule and paperwork that had not been signed previously.
Separately, commissioners approved a master services agreement and statement of work with Comcast to provide internet and related services to the new facility. The recurring cost was read into the record as $755.05 per month ($9,060.60 annually) plus recurring equipment charges approximating $39.95 monthly ($479 annually) for an annual total of $9,540; staff said they would correct the billing contact and address before signature. The county recorded approval to proceed with agreement execution.
Commissioners instructed staff to ensure invoice routing and account naming align with the Mental Health Department and to process the progress payment through the county claims system.
