Giving Machine donates more than 700 transactions to White Mountain Safe House; local check presented to council

Presenter Mister Johnson said the Giving Machine, operated in partnership with local volunteers and supported in part by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints covering credit-card fees, visits Snowflake and Show Low for two weeks each in December. He said the national program has collected more than $50 million since its inception in 2017 and that the local machine recorded more than 4,000 transactions during its two-week run last year; over 700 of those donations benefited the White Mountain Safe House.
Johnson said the organizers would like a photo opportunity with council members for the check presentation. He thanked local volunteers and partners who hosted the machine and noted volunteers from Sedat and Grant will handle the Show Low machines that year.
The presentation was ceremonial; no council action or funding decision was requested that night.
