The Show Low Chamber of Commerce presented a briefing to the council outlining membership growth, visitor-center traffic and planned events.
Chamber President Brewer said digital visitor metrics and social media outreach increased in 2024, pointing to 54,000 website visitors and nearly a million social media views across platforms. The chamber reported it has 361 members, a 239% increase since November 2022, and a 99% retention rate year over year.
Brewer said the chamber finished 2024 “$3 grand in the black with a balance of $27.05 between both of our checking accounts” and announced a newly created business liaison committee chaired by Steve North to engage member and nonmember businesses. The Chamber is also reinstating Chamber Ambassadors, a volunteer group to support member engagement.
Planned 2025 activities cited included no-cost business classes with the SBDC and Northland Pioneer College, Solo Days (a two-day event in June), the Big Biz Expo, a new solo music festival this fall, monthly ribbon cuttings and a Chamber Gala and Awards Dinner set for Dec. 5 at Torreon Grill. The chamber is partnering with White Mountain Economic Development on business incubator roundtables, job fairs and a visitors/relocation guide to be distributed in Phoenix-area markets.
Council members praised the chamber’s direction and new initiatives. The presentation was informational; no council action was required or taken.
