During the meeting’s public comment period, Tony Alba announced the Town of Pinetop Lakeside’s family Easter celebration will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Town Hall rather than Woodland Lake Park because of an incoming storm forecast. Alba said the event will be smaller than its usual park presentation and will include an egg walk, visits with the Easter Bunny and community volunteers.
Alba said the Rotary Club of the White Mountains will hand out hamburger and hot-dog meals free of charge (one meal per person in attendance) and that a coffee vendor will be on site. He invited town officials, MYAC members and other volunteers to assist with distributing baskets and interacting with children during the event.
The announcement came during the council’s Call to the Public; it was framed as a community announcement rather than an agenda item and did not require council action.
