Huntington City Council approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with Keesler Police Supply Inc. to purchase duty and practice ammunition for the Huntington Police Department at a total cost of $29,893.17.
Captain Mike Charby presented the purchasing results: on March 4 the purchasing division solicited bids and received three offers. The winning bidder, Keesler Police Supply Inc., offered $29,893.17; other bids included $35,732.19 and $60,690.50. Captain Charby said funds for the purchase will come from the police department’s general fund budget.
Council moved the resolution forward on a favorable committee recommendation and approved it by voice vote.
