The Connecticut State Veterinary Board voted to recommend reinstatement of a veterinary license for Dr. Goldberg and said it will forward the recommendation to the Department of Public Health for processing.
Board members said they reviewed extensive materials submitted by Dr. Goldberg. Lauren Mascola told the board she had read the materials and believed “everything looks in place for a reinstatement.” Board member Tim said he agreed and encouraged the department and the board to proceed with reinstatement, acknowledging administrative processing can take time. Celeste, identified on the call as a Department of Public Health staff member, was asked to carry out the department’s part of the reinstatement process.
The board first took a procedural vote to open the agenda and add Dr. Goldberg’s petition for reinstatement. That motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. The substantive motion — a recommendation that Dr. Goldberg’s license be reinstated — was then moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. After the vote the chair said the board would send the recommendation to “Celeste at the department,” who will take the steps necessary to effect reinstatement. Dr. Goldberg thanked the board for their time.
The public transcript records voice votes with members saying “aye,” including the chair and Lauren Mascola. The transcript does not include a roll-call tally or the department’s subsequent administrative steps; the board’s action in the meeting was a recommendation to the Department of Public Health, which the department will implement consistent with its licensing procedures.
