Minutes: The board approved the minutes of the April 15, 2025 statutory and regular meetings. A motion to approve was made, seconded and passed by voice vote, 5–0.
Consent agenda: Items a through h on the consent agenda were presented and approved by voice vote, 5–0. Board members discussed the calendar and a waiver that had been granted for student makeup days; staff noted that the waiver applied to students while staff continue to work their 200‑day contracts.
Finance: The board approved the authorized payments of bills (finance sheet) by motion, second and voice vote, 5–0.
Personnel: The board considered the personnel docket (blue handout). Members agreed to separate item e for separate consideration. A motion to approve items a, b, c, d, f, g, h, i and j passed 5–0. The president then recused themself from item e; the board voted to approve item e with a 4–0 vote after the recusal.
Employee hearing: The board voted to table agenda item 12 (an employee hearing) to the board’s next meeting, which the board scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Central Office.
Adjournment: The board adjourned by voice vote, 5–0, at 6:49 p.m.
