Kosciusko County commissioners approved rezoning 1.45 acres owned by Lyle Yoder from agricultural to Ag‑2 to allow access and to conform the parcel with adjacent Ag‑2 zoning.
Area Plan staff explained the parcel is adjacent to a previously rezoned tract and that the rezone cleans up an inclusion the surveyor added to a preliminary plat. Dean Snyder, appearing for the petitioner, said the change avoids delaying the preliminary plat and allows the parcel to be included in the previously filed plat that will come before the planning commission in May. The county opened the matter for public comment; no speakers opposed the change.
A commissioner moved to approve the rezoning; another commissioner seconded; the board approved the request by voice vote.
