The Village of Hortonville Board of Trustees voted on May 1 to approve a contract payment to McMahon Engineering for work on the Alonzo Park backup generator.
Staff said the contractor had recently connected a new gas line and was installing electrical service; the project manager told the board the generator should be on schedule or ahead. The first payment application presented at the meeting was for $85,122. A trustee moved to approve the payment; another trustee seconded, and roll call returned unanimous ayes. The chair stated the motion carried.
Staff said additional work remains to hook the generator up to the new station across the street and complete final connections. The total project figure discussed during the meeting was described in the packet as $135,000 with an $85,122 first payment and a remaining $50,000 to be completed as part of subsequent work.
The board approved the contract payment and did not include additional changes to the contract in the motion recorded on the meeting minutes.
