The RSU 40/MSAD 40 Board approved second readings for a bundle of district policies recommended by the policy committee, including nondiscrimination and harassment policies (AC, ACAA and related procedures), employee harassment procedures (ACAB and ACABR), student fundraising (JJE) and public concerns and complaints (KE).

A board member moved to approve a group of related policies for second reading, describing them as "really inseparable." The policies were considered together and each was advanced for a second reading; the meeting minutes show each motion was moved and seconded and that votes were recorded.

Board discussion was brief at the second-reading stage; one board member noted minor procedural votes and multiple roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes. The board approved the fundraising policy JJE separately for second reading and later approved KE for second reading as well.

These votes advance the policies toward final adoption pending any additional required notice or procedural steps defined in district policy BG and the policy committee’s guidelines.
