The Corinth City Council unanimously approved May 1 an amendment to the city’s comprehensive land use plan to adopt the Downtown Corinth Plan 2025.

Staff said the downtown plan expands the city’s previously smaller downtown plan area to include territory up to Shady Shores and out to Corinth Community Park. The plan incorporates recommendations reviewed by council at a prior work session and is intended to guide future downtown development and public improvements.

Staff noted the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended the adoption 4–0 and that the full document was included in the meeting packet; the council moved, seconded and unanimously voted to adopt the plan as part of the city’s comprehensive plan.
