Scott Andrews, Doña Ana County manager, invited residents to the county's State of the County address scheduled for May 6 at 11:30 a.m. at the Government Center and asked attendees to RSVP to Amanda Gomez.

The event will cover "accomplishments from the last year" and "big things coming in the next six months," Andrews said, and he described the county's presence at the state Capitol as part of efforts "to make sure your voice is heard." "We are here for you and not the other way around," he added.
