The Facilities Committee reviewed multiple procurement items and recommended awards or rejections on several district maintenance contracts and equipment purchases.
What passed as recommendations: Staff recommended awards for routine and recurring service and supply contracts, including a wood gym and other floor maintenance services contract with Molly Classic Sports Flooring for $24,700; HVAC filter supply with FSI Industries at $41,587.91 for the year after an updated inventory count; a three‑year emergency generator inspection and preventive maintenance contract with Industrial Diesel Power, Inc. for about $36,000; and a five‑year certified laboratory services agreement with Eurofins Environmental Testing Philadelphia LLC for wastewater monitoring at Wrightstown in the amount of $27,096. The committee also recommended a three‑year grease trap and septic pumping contract with Wind River Environmental for roughly $52,220 and awarded grounds equipment (worksite utility vehicles, 11‑foot mowers and zero‑turn mowers) to vendors who confirmed June delivery dates for a total of approximately $247,543.
Vehicle rejections and rebids: Two vehicle procurements did not attract suitable bids with the required June 30 delivery: a grounds truck replacement received no bids in the current solicitation and the mail van replacement produced a single bid from an Ohio dealer that could not guarantee delivery by June 30. Staff recommended rejecting the mail van bid so the district can rebid with a later delivery window when more supply is available. Staff said the truck will be rebid with an adjusted delivery schedule; no vehicle purchases were approved at the meeting.
Other approvals and closeouts: The committee recommended acceptance of small deduct change orders to close two projects, and a letter-of-assignment was recommended to formalize the transition of Schrader Group into HCM (Schrader will remain the district contact). Staff also sought approval to move forward with a Johnson Controls Medisys preventive maintenance agreement to update district controls software and patches.
Next steps: The recommendations will be processed through the district’s procurement and board approval processes; rebids for the mail van and truck will be prepared with adjusted delivery expectations.
