Commission approves FY25 sales-tax distribution IGAs for special road districts

Miss Beetles summarized several projects and the county awards she recorded: Southfar Special requested funds for chip-seal and related maintenance on Shipman Road, Stone Ridge Road, Oldfield and Shady Grove (total project cost stated as $143,000; awarded $75,000, described as 75% of the county maximum); Billing Special requested winding and overlay on Griesemer (total cost $140,000; awarded $80,000). She listed additional projects (chip-and-seal and overlays) and said the IGAs had been signed by the special road districts, the county counselor and the auditor.
A motion to accept the FY25 project list and enter into IGAs carried on voice vote. Miss Beetles noted that some districts had also pursued separate grants — she cited Garrison Special as a district that received a bridge program grant from MoDOT.
