Server-room fire-suppression work delayed about three weeks after shipping mix-up, county IT says

John said equipment originally left the supplier on two semis but arrived on one, and a set of doors did not arrive. He said the county used surveillance and shipping photos while working with the carrier, which remanufactured replacement doors. "We lost about 2 and a half almost 3 weeks waiting on doors to show up because they got lost somewhere in transit," John said. He added that the panels are cut to order and required new fabrication, which added manufacturing time.
Because of the delay, the contractor must reschedule to install the fire‑suppression system and commission the server racks; John said he expects to have a more complete update at the next committee meeting once installation dates are set.
