Warner Robins council approves housing tax-credit support, HVAC contract and several ordinances

WARREN ROBINS, Ga. — The Warner Robins City Council on April 7 unanimously approved a series of resolutions, ordinances and contracts including support for a low-income housing tax-credit application, a contract to replace an HVAC unit at the city annex and several code and personnel changes.

The votes were largely noncontroversial and carried without recorded opposition. The measures affect procurement, right-of-way acceptance, personnel assignments and one municipal symbol (the city’s official tree).

The most consequential items included the council’s approval to support a Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (GICH) low-income housing tax-credit (LIHTC) application proposed by Presswick Development (motion moved by Councilman Holmes, seconded by Councilman Lashley); authorization for Mayor LaRhonda W. Patrick to execute an agreement with Hayes HVAC for replacement of the annex building HVAC not to exceed $57,000 (motion moved by Councilman Curtis, seconded by Councilman Bibb); and acceptance of a previously private road now named Electric Avenue as a city street (motion moved by Councilman Curtis, seconded by Councilman Holmes).
