South Lebanon public works highlights: King Avenue paving to start, Morrow Road closure planned; sunflower field to move to Otters Park

City Administrator Jerry reported that paving on King Avenue is scheduled to start in May; he thanked county commissioners for funding approval and said a favorable bid allowed the city to pave the entire road rather than only a portion. He also said the Morrow Road project (from Mary Ellen to Mary Lane) will start in early June and will require a road closure.
Public Works Director Harry said the Sunflower Field is being moved to a new location at Main and McKinley at Otters Park (the side of the old dairy bar). He said the new location should attract more visitors and provide better traffic exposure than the previous park location.
Planning updates included that the Planning Commission approved the final plat for Arbors Section 2, progressing the back portion of that development at Stryker and Grandin; Jerry also reported that Silver Creek Lofts is progressing.
Jerry said the city will bid the Grandin Road program as soon as engineering plans are returned. No project budgets, contractor names, or specific start dates beyond "early June" for Morrow Road were recorded in the meeting minutes.
