The board discussed the project’s location in North Merritt Island and encouraged the applicant’s plans to reopen the venue as a neighborhood restaurant with food service. Staff noted the conditional use permit will be followed by site-plan review and permitting, and that conditions related to hours, operational standards and site compliance will be enforced through permitting and business licensing.
The applicant told the board an anticipated opening was targeted for mid-May and said the patio will be completed under a minor site plan. The Board welcomed the restaurant’s return to the corridor.
