A planning commission hearing earlier in April had unanimously approved the final plat off Northwest 230 Fourth and County Line Road; county staff asked the commission to sign and file the final plat so lots can be sold. Commissioners approved the plat by voice vote. The county also released an erosion-control bond for a subdivision located in District 3 off Northwest 200 And Sixth and County Line Road after the one-year maintenance period described by staff; the board clarified the release covered erosion control only and that a separate road-maintenance bond remains subject to future review.
On zoning, the board approved a change from industrial zoning to a planned-unit development (PUD) for a site off Northwest 190 Second in Portland that currently hosts a gas station and convenience store. The PUD would allow a retail fireworks stand on that parcel for the June–July and December–January sales windows; staff said other industrial uses would remain unchanged. Commissioners noted a similar PUD in the area already permits seasonal fireworks sales. All three items passed by unanimous voice votes in the meeting.
