Staff said the project previously received some approvals in 2022 for repairs to the bluff wall, but the building permits expired before work could begin. The current application seeks to renew those approvals; staff told commissioners they needed additional technical letters from the applicant’s structural and geotechnical engineers to complete the staff report and recommendation.
Because the item had been publicly noticed, the commission opened the hearing and asked for public comment; none was offered. Commissioner Howard moved to continue the hearing to a date uncertain, the motion was seconded, and the commission approved the continuance by roll call, 5‑0.
No substantive decisions were made; staff said the item will return to the commission for a full report and recommendation once required technical materials have been submitted.
