Staff told the commission the school board approved Resolution 2025-01 on April 22, 2025, to transfer the pond. The commission made two separate motions at the meeting: to accept the school board resolution and to approve the amendment to the interlocal agreement between the school board and the city. Both motions were approved by voice vote, 5-0.
City staff said the quick-claim deed associated with the transfer will be provided at a later date. The interlocal amendment establishes the terms under which the city will assume ownership and operations of the pond and is intended to clarify responsibilities and support future stormwater improvements at Ramp Road Park.
