Sahuarita council adopts results of July primary; four council seats decided

Deputy Town Clerk Lisa Rhodes told the council that 20,689 valid votes were cast in the primary and that turnout in the town was 32.2 percent. Rhodes named the four candidates elected to council: Stephen Gillespie, Kimberly Lisk, Ed Lytle and Diane Priolo.
A council member moved to adopt Resolution 2024-0802 and the motion carried unanimously. Rhodes said the elected officials will be sworn in and officially take office at the end of the town council meeting on Nov. 12.
The action finalizes local returns and sets the administrative timeline for swearing in the newly elected council members.
