Finance staff for the Town of Prescott Valley told the Town Council at a May 1 study session that the town has posted a consolidated comprehensive fee schedule and started a 60‑day public notice period ahead of proposing specific fee changes to council.
Miss Morris, a finance staff member, said the town consolidated fees that previously appeared both in the town code and on separate schedules into a single comprehensive fee schedule to make fees easier to find for residents and businesses. She said the 60‑day notice provides the public an opportunity to comment before staff returns with proposed fees for council action in June.

She added that development impact fees are governed by state statute and require a different review process that includes land‑use assumptions and an infrastructure improvement plan; those fees are shown on the schedule for convenience but are not included in the 60‑day fee change process.
Town Manager Gilbert Davidson and development services staff told council that development‑services fees have not been updated in several years and that the town intends to do more focused work this fall to ensure "growth pays for growth" — that is, to align fees with service costs and the town’s cost‑recovery strategy. Finance staff said directors remain responsible for individual fees and will be available to answer questions during the public comment period.
