Board hears management updates on maintenance, pickleball injuries and Mountain View outreach

The RCSC board received a management update covering routine and planned maintenance, repairs completed this spring and safety and technology items at facilities.
President Tom Foster summarized recent and planned maintenance: patching and updates to Mountain View tennis and pickleball courts, limited pool-deck patching at Mountain View pending a larger future project, repair and reinstallation of the Meeker Mountain waterfall pump, a repaired Lakeview pool circulation pump and replacement HVAC units at Lakeview, Marinette and Sundial. Lakeview and Oakmont also received new decking and furniture; Fairway furniture was on order.
On safety and incident reports, Director of Finance Kevin McCurdy and board members noted Marinette had more injuries, which McCurdy attributed primarily to pickleball. Oakmont showed a rise in conduct reports involving the sheriff's office; management said it would investigate specifics and clarified incidents can involve members, nonmembers or staff.
Technology updates included confirmation that fiber is installed at all locations and that the next step is improving bandwidth.
Triarch — the consultant for Mountain View planning — is coordinating stakeholder outreach, the board said, and members are asked to funnel stakeholder requests through the board so Triarch can include them in outreach.
Why it matters: The maintenance and safety items affect member experience and facility availability. Repairs that returned pumps and systems to service limited downtime at pools and other facilities.
Ending: Management report was accepted by the board after questions and will continue to be updated as larger projects (including Mountain View) progress.
