Commissioners approve personnel changes, promotions and salary-board recommendations

The Board of Commissioners approved a slate of personnel transactions across county departments, including resignations, terminations, promotions, transfers, new hires and salary-board recommendations.
Michelle Snavely, director of human resources, read the personnel items into the record. Resignations and terminations accepted included Kristin Leininger (caseworker I, Children and Youth), Lindsay Moyer (casework supervisor I, Children and Youth), Crystal Pena (MATP coordinator, Community Action Partnership Programs), Joseph Shali (correctional officer, county jail), and others. The board approved the personnel actions by voice vote.
Changes of status approved included creating a casual part-time court clerk position in the Prothonotary's office at grade 7 (nonunion, no benefits, not to exceed 19 hours biweekly) as recommended by Barbara Smith, voluntary clerk of court. Other approved status changes included promotions and transfers such as Cody Ludwig promoted from corporal to sergeant at the jail (rate $39.10 per hour, effective May 11) and Angel Medina transferring to deputy sheriff at $21.70 per hour (effective May 12). New hires approved included Amber Auckland (children and youth social service aide), Michael Boyer (caseworker I), multiple office support hires for domestic relations and voter registration, and two DJ office support positions for MDJ Figueroa’s office.
The board also convened as the salary board and approved recommendations; staff then implemented the listed hires and status changes as presented. Commissioners approved the personnel slate and salary-board actions by voice votes with no recorded opposition.
