County staff also said the board had previously committed funds from the Affordable Housing Fund toward the project; the meeting record indicates a prior county commitment in that fund and staff noted the Carrying Cupboard had counted the county letter among its supporting materials. Commissioners approved the request by voice vote and asked the nonprofit to remain in contact with county staff for any further documentation.
No vote on new county funding was made during the meeting; commissioners only renewed the letter of support for the reapplication.
