Anniston council adopts consent agenda including special-event liquor license; members share local event notices

The Anniston City Council adopted its consent agenda, which included a special event retail liquor license for the Anniston Kathleen Junior Service League’s event at 920 Museum Drive, and then moved on to announcements and adjournment.

City staff opened a public hearing on the special event retail liquor license for the Kathleen Junior Service League event; no members of the public spoke on that license and the hearing was closed. The liquor-license matter was subsequently processed as part of the council’s consent agenda.

The consent agenda was adopted by roll call. The clerk recorded affirmative votes from Council member Downing, Council member Roberts, Councilman Harris and Vice Mayor Smith.
