The Community High School District 128 board approved its consent vote agenda on April 28, which included multiple routine and previously vetted items.
Among the approvals, the board adopted textbooks for the 2025–26 school year with an identified cost of $52,051.56. The board also approved migration to a new board meeting management system, BoardBook, which district staff said will save costs and streamline document management.
The board set the fiscal year 2026 budget hearing date for June 9, 2025, and approved employment of listed employees who had been added to the board packet since the last committee meeting. The board also approved the annual ESP staffing report (separately covered) and a number of other routine items that had been reviewed by committees earlier in the month.
Don Carmichael moved to approve the consent agenda; Cara Benjamin seconded and the roll‑call vote approved the package.
District officials said more detailed budget materials and a tentative budget will be available before the June hearing and that additional routine items will be presented at future meetings.
