The Panama City CRA board voted on April 15 to change the regular meeting schedule and location. Staff recommended shifting the board’s regular meeting from the third Tuesday at 5 p.m. in City Hall Room 10 to the first Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. at the Bay County Government Center, beginning May 6, 2025, to align with county facilities and afternoon commission schedules.
Board members discussed the tradeoffs between a 4 p.m. start (better alignment with county schedule and potentially higher staff coordination) and a 5 p.m. start (more convenient for some community members and for board members who work day jobs). After discussion the board approved the staff recommendation by roll call; staff acknowledged there had been some confusion in the past about meeting location and timing and said the change aims to improve consistency and attendance.
Board members also asked staff to monitor attendance and, if necessary, return to the board with an alternate schedule in future months.
