Staff presented the Panama City CRA fiscal year 2024 annual report on April 15, covering the period from Oct. 1, 2023 through Sept. 30, 2024. The executive director highlighted accomplishments in affordable housing initiatives, community projects, public‑space enhancements and financial statements included in the report. No board vote was required; staff offered printed and electronic copies upon request.
During the same agenda staff outlined proposed FY2026 projects by district, drawn from community input at CRA socials. Highlights included: downtown streetscape and pedestrian activation projects (digital directory boards, musical instruments at McKenzie Park, planters and lighting on Harrison Avenue); St. Andrews clubhouse renovation and Chestnut Avenue solar lighting; Downtown North wayfinding, murals and sidewalk repairs; and Millville clubhouse and park updates, a proposed Bicycle Safety Village and a waterfront streetscape and bike path along Third Street.
Staff noted one FY25 Millville sidewalk repair project already underway (approx. $60,000). The board thanked staff and the community for shifting emphasis from programming to physical projects and asked for follow‑up materials; staff said detailed project sheets and timelines are available in the packet and will be provided electronically.
