Outdoor recreation grants committee advances dozens of projects, including Mill Creek Common, Snowland and USA Clmbing training center

The State Outdoor Recreation Grants Advisory Committee on Tuesday advanced a slate of recreation projects for final approval, directing staff to carry forward funding recommendations for a mix of regional assets and local park improvements.

The committee advanced two of the highest-scoring regional proposals at full funding for final approval: Mill Creek Common Phase 2 and the Snowland recreation proposal. The advisory body also moved a set of other projects forward for consideration, including the USA Climbing National Training Center proposal in Salt Lake City, multiple all-wheels/bike-park projects (including West Jordan and Provo), and a range of community pump-track and playground requests.
