Board approves personnel schedule and recognizes 10 newly tenured educators

The Kings Park Central School District on April 22 publicly recognized 10 staff members who achieved tenure and then the Board of Education approved personnel schedule No. 14 to formalize recommended personnel actions.

Board President Mr. Bianco opened the evening’s tenure recognitions and called multiple principals and administrators to the podium to introduce honorees. Doctor Craig (master of ceremonies for the event) and building principals introduced and congratulated tenured staff, including social worker Katie Koster and several classroom teachers and specialists from across the district.

Following the recognitions, Mr. Bianco moved to pull the personnel schedule forward so the board could vote immediately. "So it's with great pride and privilege that I will make a motion to accept personnel schedule number 14," he said. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
