Radcliff council annexes, rezones parcels on South Dixie Boulevard

The Radcliff City Council on April 15 adopted second-reading ordinances to annex and rezone three adjacent parcels on the east side of South Dixie Boulevard (U.S. 31W) between East Lincoln Trail Boulevard and Terrace Drive, council members said.

The measures annexed roughly 4.532 acres (Silverpoint Subdivision, Lots 2A and 3A), 0.45 acre (Howie Ayer Subdivision, Track 7B) and 0.14 acre (PVA map 1604003074) into the city and changed the properties’ zoning from Hardin County Residential 1 to the City of Radcliff Commercial zone, city staff explained during second readings. The landowners named in the ordinance summaries were identified as Lehis Turner, Glenn S. Turner and Sandra G. Turner.

The annexations were presented at second reading with citations to Kentucky Revised Statutes referenced in the ordinances (as read aloud at the meeting). City staff told the council the annexations were requested in writing by the landowners and recorded with deed-book references filed at the Hardin County Court Clerk’s office. Mayor Jeff Gregory called for motions and the council conducted roll-call votes after brief procedural remarks on the second-reading format.

Planning staff and the Radcliff Planning Commission had held a public hearing March 6 on the related zone-map amendment requests and recommended approval conditioned on annexation, the council was told. The second readings proceeded without substantive debate, and each ordinance vote passed by roll call.

No development plan or specific tenant was presented at the meeting; the ordinances enacted boundary and zoning changes only. The city clerk’s office and the full ordinances were made available on the city website and by contacting the city clerk by email, the council noted.

The council wrapped the items in sequence and moved on to other business following the votes.
