Contracts approved at the meeting included Zaner-Bloser handwriting materials ($47,531), Imagine Learning for English learner literacy supports ($34,000), Zearn online math plus printed materials ($53,807 total: about $32,000 online and $21,000 printed), Studies Weekly Science curriculum (first-year quote $594,140; years 2–4 up to $249,000 for refills), sixth-grade science materials (Kiddom, $165,638 for the first four years), Open Up Resources decodable readers for K–2 ($77,575), and Age of Learning for ESP tutoring ($144,000). Presenters said the purchases had been budgeted in the general purpose or ESP budgets as appropriate.
Board members moved and seconded each contract in sequence; presenters described Studies Weekly as the board-approved science adoption and said the first-year package covers student publications, professional development and science kits. For several contracts, presenters said funding comes from the general purpose budget; the Age of Learning contract was funded through the ESP budget.
Each contract was approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
