Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics highlights outreach, celebrates 15th anniversary

At its May 1, 2025 meeting, the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics received an update from its executive director on outreach work across more than a dozen municipalities and announced the commission’s 15th anniversary activities, then approved routine minutes and two advisory opinions.
The executive director told commissioners that in April staff attended events including a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce outreach event and a Junior Achievement event at Jega Bridal School, and met with municipal governments in Lake Park, Pahokee, Ocean Ridge, Lake Clarke Shores, Cloud Lake, Palm Beach, Greenacres, South Palm Beach, Manalapan, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Mangonia Park, Royal Palm Beach, Atlantis, The Villages, Belle Glade, Briny Breezes, Wellington, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach. “So, they were quite busy this month, and we appreciate all those commissions for allowing us to speak with them,” the executive director said.
The executive director said the commission is marking its fifteenth anniversary in May with a newsletter published online, a special feature on Channel 20 and social media posts. “May marks our fifteenth anniversary. And we're celebrating in small but meaningful ways throughout the month,” the executive director said. The director also said Palm Tran is coordinating to wrap one of its buses with the commission’s logo to mark the milestone.
During commissioners’ comments, Commissioner Verbano thanked Mr. Radcliffe for the invitation to the monthly Palm Beach County League of Cities meeting, saying, “I got to see some old, old friends and make some new ones. And, it was a great meeting. Thank you very much for having me.”
On procedural business the commission approved the minutes from its April 3, 2025 meeting and took action to process advisory opinions RQO 25-5 and RQO 25-6; the meeting record shows motions were made, seconded and the chair called for the ayes. No items were pulled from the consent agenda, there were no public commenters on the record, and the commission adjourned.
