The Seven Hills City Council Rules, Ordinances and Ethics committee met April 29 and reported that two substantive items remain under legal review: a construction-equipment proposal tied to Councilman Morrow and proposed rules or guidance related to drones.
The committee’s report does not yet include draft text or legal citations; members said staff and the city attorney are condensing materials from Councilman Morrow into a workable format for committee consideration.
“We do have 2 pending items that are legal for review. 1, the, councilman Morrow's issue related to construction equipments and also the other item that we've had in the folder for a little while regarding drone issues,” a committee member reported during the meeting.
Committee members said legal staff are working to reduce the length and complexity of the materials submitted so the committee can act on them. No ordinance language or regulatory text was presented on April 29, and the committee adjourned without taking substantive votes on either matter.
Committee business ended with a procedural motion to adjourn at 6:08 p.m.; the motion was seconded and the roll call recorded ‘‘Elliot, yes’’ and ‘‘Martin, yes.’’ The committee said it expects to return to both items after legal review is complete.
