Auditor outlines administrative changes as commissioners approve several payments and bank signatory updates

The board approved removing Suzanne Zimmerman from a storage-unit account and adding the auditor as signatory so monthly deposits can resume, and it authorized the auditor to open a bank account to hold funds needed for county credit cards.
Reeves told commissioners the county has $46,914 remaining in ARPA interest funds after prior commitments, and that most interest totals had been committed to the “bridal tire” project; the auditor sought a commissioner as a second ARPA contact and the board approved adding a commissioner.
On claims and vendor payments, commissioners approved paying the balance of $52,590 to Mid America for an elevator upgrade (agreement originated in 2023) from the Q-capital fund, and they processed payroll and regular claims including out-of-cycle liability-insurance charges totaling $310,831.38. The board also approved a contract with Maximus for required child-support reporting for the auditor’s office.
