Commissioners said the county should publish the redistricting in the local newspaper for the statutory advertising period and that the auditor will coordinate the publication. They also asked county staff to confirm whether the state prefers precinct labels with or without a leading zero (for example, "01" versus "1"); staff said the state will confirm and that the county will amend the resolution if necessary before final filing.
The board voted to adopt the resolution and directed staff to submit required materials to the state and arrange the 10-day public advertisement.
