County pauses land swap for jail project pending legal and environmental review

Commissioners said they want to "dot every I and cross every T" before completing a transfer and that they remain committed to advancing the jail project but will not proceed on the swap until the outstanding issues are resolved.
No formal vote was taken on property transfer at the meeting; commissioners described the matter as continuing and said they expect follow-up once the attorney and staff complete their review.
