The Longview School District Board of Directors on March 24 approved the district—our-year Career and Technical Education (CTE) plan and the district pplication of two-credit sequencing courses as a graduation pathway.
The board voted to approve the plan and the two-credit sequencing portion after a presentation by Bill Austin, the district irector of CTE and assessment, who described program offerings, enrollment trends and next steps for state approval. "There are two flavors," Austin said of two-credit sequences, explaining the difference between single-program-area sequences and the multi-program area sequences that require board approval and final OSPI sign-off.
