Glynn County procurement opens bids for library AV upgrade, transportation administration and opioid strategic plan

Glynn County procurement staff opened bids for three requests for proposals during a publicly held bid opening streamed on the county’s YouTube channel. The solicitations were RFP 25-53 for the Brunswick‑Glynn County Library audio‑video streaming upgrade, RFP 25-54 for program administration for the Brunswick Area Transportation Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization) rebid, and RFP 25-52 for opioid/fentanyl comprehensive strategic planning.

Procurement analyst Nikki Thompson said the county received multiple bids for each RFP and that all paperwork will be reviewed by procurement staff and the project manager for completeness. She reminded attendees that the board of commissioners “reserves the right to waive technicalities” and that the lowest responsive bid may not be the recommended awardee. A bid tabulation sheet will be posted to the county website when available, and any recommended award will be presented to the finance committee and then to the full Board of Commissioners at its next scheduled monthly meeting.

For RFP 25-52, Opioid/Fentanyl Comprehensive Strategic Planning, the county recorded three bidders: Citizens Consulting Group LLC (Warner Robins, Ga.); Georgia Southern University Research and Service Foundation, Inc. (Statesboro, Ga.); and K and J Strategic Solutions (Arlington, Va.). For RFP 25-54, Program Administration for the Brunswick Area Transportation Study (MPO) — Rebid, three bids were logged: Barton’s Management and Consultant (Alpharetta, Ga.); Foresight Group LLC (Peachtree Corners, Ga.); and RS&H Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.). For RFP 25-53, Brunswick‑Glynn County Library audio‑video streaming upgrade, two bids were received: ACCO Brands USA LLC (Lake Zurich, Ill.) and StageFront (Savannah, Ga.).

Thompson said attendees who were present were asked to sign an attendance sheet. She provided a contact email for procurement questions as maria.thompson@glynncounty-ga.gov and noted that bidders and the public should sign up for bid alerts on the county website to be notified when the bid tabulation posts.

No awards or contract decisions were made at the opening. Procurement staff will review responsiveness and completeness; after that review the county will develop a recommendation for the finance committee and, if advanced, the Board of Commissioners. The county did not specify a timeline for review or final award during the bid opening.
